A necklace made via Ms. Kathryn May's creative directive for jewelry.
Kathryn is a high school educator in Philadelphia, is known for her rowing skills, and is an all round girl's girl.

I cut out discs from the white styrofoam and copper foil to make the necklace.
And then superglued them to a shoelace ( it was new! ).
Then put on my necklace, and modeled for the camera!
Plus Im going to wear it to a arty partee next week...
RECIPE IV : Grocery Shopping
The next batch of trash is :
a Quaker oatmeal box
a refried organic beans can
a clear plastic cherry tomatoes carton
a paper towel cardboard tube
an empty Suave shampoo bottle ( its apple scent and smells real good )
What can I do with these pretty colors for the next recipe?

a lamp or some sort of light fixture
mmmm what about an airfreshener? If you cut the suave bottle into a fan and put it in front of the window, whenever the wind blows, you'll have a nice scent (and not the trashy smell of new york :) )
the paper tube is my favorite; it can lead to a mouse trap or you can use it to record your voice and you get the tube effect
a flower vase. or lingerie, in which case you have to model it like you did the necklace...all for the greater good, of course.
some sorta spy kit... goggles from the tomato carton, periscope from the tube and a cool watch with the can and oat meal box...
ooohhh may be a harry potter kit :-)

I like the jewelery idea the best. :)

It's great to see what can be done with a little imagination :) I must admit I'm rather curious about reactions to the jewellry at the mentioned art-party... but I bet it was all positive :)
